A bit of a drive from the Costa de Castelo. I find myself in a square in a poor area of the town, lots of tenements and a church. According to google there is a van park here, I don't see it, more like a market square in front of the church. I need to find somewhere to stay and follow google again to an industrial area and a shed This is a covered area charging Euro 20/night with no facilities. How much for two months? Euro 1200 - you are kidding!
I'm now looking forward to a shower and follow google for the fourth time to a pleasant campsite on the outskirts of town. The showers/facilities are good, I'm hooked up to charge the batteries and the bar is open, but they only take cash and I don't have much, That's probably a good thing. I enquire about getting into town. The bus runs every half an hour but stops at 1o:30, I can go in the morning. Thinking this through I aim to watch the tennis and football in Cadiz. The drive is 2hrs so I have to miss out on looking around Seville,
The chap on reception was very helpful. Don't drive direct to Cadiz, go instead to Puerto Santa Maria and take the ferry. He even suggested a campsite.
In the morning I take my bike to explore the area and find somewhere for breakfast. It seems I'm in car showroom land, not a cafe in sight. But they do have green grass, all the verges are surfaced in Astroturf. Stopping to ask where I might find a cafe I'm directed into town where everything is closed, but I can hear people talking, lo, activity in the next street where I have a strange fried dough finger thing, I'm not impressed, with a filling sweet or savoury they would be delicious. Anyway, I find my way back to the camp site and leave for Cadiz having seen virtually nothing of Seville.
