Kept off the motorway for much of the route to Ribadesella. I didn't see the beach but went for lunch, a nice piece of Turbot,

More and more houses on stone mushrooms, in all sorts of condition, falling down to carefully preserved and clearly used. Some still stand in their own plot of land but most are incorporated into newer buildings.
Rained all morning but cleared by lunch. You can just see the mountains in the background, quite stunning.

Playa Bahinas is just before Gaviotos on the other side of the headland. The beach is a good Kilometer long and looks as if it might be a good strip for the beach buggy when the tide is out. The sea is a bit rough and again, no one is kite surfing or in the water surfing.
