After coming down from the mountain I find Granada is just 45min away and make my way into the city, round and round as usual but then, a parking spot. I was on a bit of a steep gradient as the photo reflects. At this angle the handbrake won't hold the van and I have to leave it in gear. The area turns out to be gated properties and a university campus. So back to the bus and round and round the city again, and then, another parking space. The bar opposite did a great jambon/tomato baguette and cafe, a good start.
Down into the city and straight into Parque Jardines del Triunfo. Beautifully laid out and clearly enjoyed by all. I wander on down, stop at a busy street cafe for a beer and on into the centre. The squares are sophisticated with expensive restaurants and shops. I can't help but notice some of the detailing. Here is a square and some of the paving, cobbles and slates on edge.
Well although a very fine city, I find it all difficult to enjoy on my own, so it's back to the bus and on to Camares to pick up boards and bike, bound for Tarifa.
