All packed up and on my way, bus seems ok after having the wheel bearing fixed, gone is the background hum. I'm heading west into Spain and it's hot, but I have special air-conditioning, quarter lights. These clever inventions direct a nice breeze into the bus, as long as you are moving. Of course the oil light (temperature sensor) is on. The oil temperature gauge has risen too but stays well below 100 deg, I'll slow down a bit and keep an eye on it. Got my passport ready in the glove box for border control................. well I had it ready but I think I'm in Spain! That's ok though, I'll know where my passport is for when I return to the UK.
Although I'm using the motorway I'm not really in a rush so start looking for somewhere to stop. I follow signs for a campsite, past civilisation, the lane is getting narrower, but finally I arrive. No space, I get redirected to Castro-Urdiales. This involves another three point turn with the trailer on the back, at least it is still light, so avoid another jack-knife.
I find the site, well the back of it, but no entrance. The lane is getting narrower and with the trailer on the back I don't want to get stuck, so I park up alongside a couple of vans on the street and walk into the village to find something to eat. A nice friendly bar, good food and wine, what more could I ask for? Back to the van, empty my kites onto the street, pull out the bed and tomorrow is another day.
In the morning I jump on the bike to investigate where the entrance to the site is and lo, it's down that narrow lane, right on the beach. So I get breakfast, I'm loving the coffee, why can't I make the same? And what do I find, a nice late bay all kitted out as a bar.

The beach is great too.
