25th June - Acachron, Pyla Camping

The day starts off wet again and overcast but I head south looking for a kitesurfing spot, although there is no wind. First stop Le Petit Nice. This beach is set in pine dunes and boasts a restaurant, toilets and a manned lifeguard station, a beatiful spot.

I hadn't intended to stay for lunch but looking for a beer I landed up in the restaurant. A very nice fish lunch.

The beach was another with a protecting sandbar but with fast currents and a deep channel.

There was one kitesurfer on the beach but no one on the water. Not surprising, there was no wind to speak of.

A lovely location but probably not for me with the steep beach and currents.

Biscarrosse

A surfing town, trendy shops on the front and loads of tourest stores. Not my cup of tea but I find a beach robe in a surfing shop, just want I needed.
