Heavy rain overnight, everything wet again. Go to get replacement tent and tables. Got a simple flexi-pole tent, that throw down tent was too much hassle to put away!
Spent the day patching up the lights with a tube of glue and speaking to insurance, still not got anything agreed. Also looking for parts suppliers.
Went to Marche and was approached in the carpark by a guy who noted the damage to the van. He suggested I go to Bugs Are Us, he said he had a Cabriolet, nice car.

Attempted a phone call with 'Bugs are Us' at Coutras, it was hopeless so nothing for it but go and see them. I had a good couple of hours to get there and back before the windscreen appointment and the journey time was 40min. Well, the SatNav kept getting lost again and round and round in circles I went, but I got there.
A classy outfit with some great vehicles. The staff were very helpful but they didn't really carry much stock, just wing mirrors, I'll take them. Now the problem, they didn't like the look of my phone to pay, or my card. Big problem with taxes, not fans of Brexit, 'come back with cash'. So I head for the nearest bank.
On reflection I decide to go back to St. Andre-du-Cubaz and be sure of a new windscreen. The fitter was very helpful, got the screen in and found a mirror to stick into my left hand side. The screen also had the original blue tint to the top, I was well pleased.

Rained again overnight, more unpacking and drying out, I've had enough of this, pack up and head off, this time towards Biscarrosse, but first back to Mondial Pare-Brise, the footwell was filling with water and all the carpets were soaking. Modial Pare-brise inspected the installation and said the original rubber seal should be replaced. They would do it for free, come back Tuesday. I persuaded them to do a temporary job, I was now committed to taking the van home for repair, dumping the plan to park it up and return to continue this journey later in the year. That's Brexit for you.

I skirted Bordeaux not in the mood for traffic issues, and aimed straight for the coast at Arcachon. The first site was on the coast but high up, I decided to keep heading south. Some lovely beach front properties and then a series of dune based campsites. The first, reception closed but others would take me. Sure enough at Pyla Camping the staff were in the bar, let me in to find a place, 'see you in the morning'. Seems this is very French, one way or the other.
