Nice and dry to pack everything up and continue my journey south, heading for Carnac. After Quimper I noticed the oil light was on, I slowed down, but light stayed on. Oil temperature is definitely an issue in air-cooled vehicles and warmer climates, so I stopped, expecting the engine to cool down and the light to go off, it didn't. This made no sense, the engine must be cool enough by now!

Nothing for it but to take a look; unhook the trailer, remove bike and carrier and access the engine. Sure enough the oil temperature stick, that sits in the dip-stick location, was stuck ON. Looking at the oil temperature gauge, (why didn't I think to check this before?), the engine was definitely cool enough to run. Loaded everything back up, hitched the trailer and forward to Carnac.

Didn't really get a chance to look at Carnac since I needed to find a site to camp and it was late, again, an ongoing theme! How good is the SatNav on your phone? I was looking for Golf Course Camping but with various road closures the SatNav seemed to forget this and sent me around in circles. I arrived just as the last staff member left, but she came back to book me a space for the night.

This is where I developed the short stay set-up. Put the tant up (5min), chuck in all my kites from the bus so I could set up the bed (5min), set up a table and gas (5min) and start cooking. No poles and awning and fiddling around, all to be put away in the morning.
