Take a call from daughter Ellie who was in Malta with old school friends Bella and Polly. They were reminiscing about camping together in the bus, my previous bus that is, stolen from outside the house. A demonstration in how to eat yogurt without a spoon, hilareous.

Back to Fromentine. Franc0ir dolls out the gear, we get changed and carry kite and board to the rib. Five of us pile in and whoosh, off we go, the ride fun in itself.
Francoir finds a beach, back in the water to set up on the beach. I launch and dam if the kite didn't go sideways instead of up, 'pulling on that bar again Peter', when will I learn? Next attempt perfect, I wade in Francoir brings me a board and off we go, good water start and little ride for starters. For the next 3hrs I'm constantly practicing, exactly what I need. Overall not bad but too many crashes and still struggling to get the second kite dive in. We don't go back to the beach, Francoir comes round in the rib to collect us, we wrap the lines while he grabs the kite, deflates and packs it away before dragging us into the rib. Repeats this five times and heads back in. Off the rib, kit packed away and a HOT shower, this is bliss. Normally it is change on the beach freezing cold and shower at home,
My body aches, middle and second finger left hand, right shoulder, right foot gashed and mild ankle twist. Apart from that I'm fine.
